Editor's note

It’s impossible not to start my editor’s note without paying our
respects to Her Royal Highness Queen Elisabeth II, who passed
away at the beginning of September. She was not only an icon
that made history, but more importantly a great dog lover.

Another Autumn arrives, bringing its beautiful colours, but it also
bringing some worries, as Europe prepares a blackout plan to
head off a possible energy chaos next winter. All we can do is
get prepared and wish that this conflict comes to an end as soon
as possible.

We are happy that the vision and direction of this Magazine
are not blurred or overshadowed by any of it and we will keep
positive! To bring you a breath of fresh air, the 6th issue of The
Great Dane Magazine takes you on a tour around the world,
interviewing different kinds of Great Dane people from more than
6 countries! We bring you an interview with our cover star ‘Ponza’
from the Castello Delle Rocche Kennel in Italy, another with the
handler Ekaterina Perevedentseva from Russia, and Tom Hill a
talented animal sculptor from the United Kingdom. Following
close, we bring you expansive feature stories about Great Danes
in very different places like Australia and USA. We also pass by
Finland, France and Poland, interviewing the famous breeders
from Europower, Des Terres Andalouses and Modry Effekt. Next,
we have the third article from the series “Comparing the Breed
Standard”: this time, talking about the Great Dane body. And
we have talked to vets from different specialties to bring you
information about the importance of nutrition in reproduction
and therapeutical stretches for Great Danes. Finishing up with the
Oldie Goldie, Great Danes in the City, Great Danes in the World
(Ireland), among other great articles.
